Teatro Auditorio Ciudad de Alcobendas: Accessible Performances
The Teatro Auditorio Ciudad de Alcobendas is offering two performances during the October to January season that are accessible to people with hearing and/or visual impairments.
Upcoming Performances
The first accessible performance is «Romeo and Juliet awaken…» on Saturday, October 7. The second performance is «Don Ramón María del Valle-Inclán» on Saturday, December 16.
Why Are They Accessible?
These performances provide the following services to ensure accessibility:
- Adapted Subtitles: People with hearing disabilities can rely on subtitling to follow the work. The subtitling is specifically adapted for the deaf, offering dialogue transcriptions and identification of characters through colors, sound information, and intonation of dialogues.
- Audio Description: Audio description is the most effective method for blind or visually impaired individuals to access the information conveyed by images or cultural shows. Through headphones, blind people can listen to a voice-over that describes the relevant visual content of the play.
- Individual Magnetic Loop: Elderly or hearing-impaired individuals who use hearing aids or cochlear implants can hear the play’s sound clearly by using an FM system connected to an induction loop or individual loop.
- Amplified Sound with Headphones: Users who have hearing problems or simply want to enhance their listening experience can use headphones to listen to the play’s sound.
To enjoy these services, please visit the accessible theater booth located in the theater lobby on the day of the performance. This service is free of charge.
