BioWare Teases New Mass Effect Game on N7 Day
November 7th marks N7 Day, a special day for fans of the Mass Effect franchise. BioWare, the developer behind the popular science fiction series, has traditionally used this day to celebrate and share updates about their upcoming projects.
This year, BioWare has released a teaser and a cryptic message related to the highly anticipated new Mass Effect game. The message prominently features the word «Epsilon» and has sparked speculation among fans.
A Glimpse into the Future
The teaser, a brief five-second clip, was discovered hidden in a secret countdown on a Mass Effect blog post. Accompanying the clip was a mysterious message:
/////ACCESS CODE: EPSILON
/////ACCESS CODE ACCEPTED
/////SECONDARY ENCRYPTION DETECTED
/////VJBSVU-XXXX-XXXXXXXX
/////ANDROMEDA DISTRESS SIGNAL DETECTED
/////YEAR SENT: [REDACTED]
/////AUDIO TRANSCRIPT: ALTHOUGH THEY SHOULD KNOW BY NOW NOT TO UNDERESTIMATE HUMAN [REDACTED]
Mass Effect Epsilon: The Possible Title?
Speculation is now swirling around whether the new Mass Effect game will be titled Mass Effect Epsilon. Michael Gamble, the game’s director, has added fuel to the fire with a cryptic tweet mentioning intercepted packages, hinting at more information to come.
However, fans should temper their expectations as the game is still in the early stages of development. It is unlikely to be released before Dragon Age Dreadwolf, another highly anticipated project from BioWare.
A Return to Classic Format
What we do know is that the new Mass Effect game will depart from the Andromeda formula and return to the classic format that made the series so beloved. This news has excited fans who have been eagerly awaiting the next installment in the iconic franchise.
It’s worth noting that BioWare has faced some challenges recently. Last August, the company announced layoffs, resulting in a lawsuit over the conditions of the dismissals. Despite these setbacks, BioWare remains committed to delivering exceptional gaming experiences.
