TIME Magazine Reveals the Best Video Games of 2023
TIME magazine, known for its prestigious nominations, has unveiled its list of the top 10 video games of 2023. This year has been exceptional for the gaming industry, with highly acclaimed titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur’s Gate 3 dominating the reviews on platforms like Metacritic and Opencritic. However, there are other remarkable games that deserve recognition.
The winner of TIME’s Game of the Year (GOTY) award for 2023 is Alan Wake 2, surpassing tough competitors like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This might come as a surprise to many, but it’s worth noting that TIME magazine previously crowned Alan Wake as the GOTY in 2010, beating out Red Dead Redemption and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

It’s important to note that this year has been atypical for the gaming industry, and not all great titles made it to the list.
