Steps of the Winter Wishes quest
Winter Wishes is a mission that will be available during both parts of the Winter Holidays event in Pokémon Go. The mission will end on Sunday, December 31 at 8 pm (local time), giving players a significant amount of time to complete it.
It is important to note that Winter Wishes is a mission with multiple paths, and at a certain point, players must choose between the path that offers double experience per capture and the one that offers double Stardust per capture. The chosen path will also unlock additional bonuses in the Winter Holidays event.
Once the decision is made, it cannot be changed, so players must think carefully. The chosen path will also affect the tasks required to complete the Winter Wishes quest, although the rewards will remain the same.
Below are all the steps of the Winter Wishes mission and the rewards for each of them.
Thanks to Amiibofan101 from Reddit for providing this information.

- Visit 3 Pokéstops or gyms – Encounter with Christmas Pikachu
- Power up Pokémon 5 times – 2 Silver Pinia Berries

- Send 25 gifts to friends – Christmas Pikachu Encounter
Rewards: Encounter with Mr. Mime from Galar and, depending on the chosen path, either a Lucky Egg or a Star Piece.
Best path to choose in the Winter Wishes mission in Pokémon Go
The best path to choose in the Winter Wishes mission depends on your short-term goals in Pokémon Go.
If you want to quickly level up, it is recommended to choose double experience when catching Pokémon. If you prefer to power up the Pokémon you already have, it is better to benefit from the extra Stardust.
It is important to complement the chosen bonus with the appropriate item. If you choose experience, use a Lucky Egg to level up even faster. If you choose Stardust, use a Star Piece to obtain more of it.
