Larian Studios releases highly anticipated Patch 2.0 for Baldur’s Gate 3
After several days of anticipation, Larian Studios has finally launched the long-awaited Patch 2.0 for Baldur’s Gate 3. This major update not only fixes bugs and implements improvements in the RPG, but also provides a cohesive ending for Karlach, a companion who had received criticism from the community for her lackluster conclusion. However, it seems that the team’s plans do not only affect the tiefling.
While it is true that Karlach is the only one who receives an unprecedented ending with Patch 2.0, the Larian Studios team is also working on different endings for the rest of the characters. This is stated in the latest Steam announcement, which highlights some of the update’s features: “In addition to a lot of performance improvements and UI adjustments, we have added a new epilogue scene for Karlach, and we are working on additional endgame scenes with other characters.”
“We have also added additional moments for Karlach in Acts 1 and 2, allowing her to reflect more on her infernal engine and the available options for her,” adds the Steam message. As a result, players can now access never-before-seen moments with the tiefling, as well as expect additional updates for the rest of the companions in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3 gets release window for Xbox
Baldur’s Gate 3 has already captivated thousands of PC players, and soon it will do the same with a PS5 version. Xbox players will not be left out either, as although this edition encountered some difficulties along the way, Larian Studios plans to release it between September and November. This way, an even larger number of users will be able to enjoy the legendary adventure in the Forgotten Realms.
