“Gavi stands out among all the young players in Barcelona’s squad,” says Gerard Piqué
“What he has achieved at 19 is incredible”
Gerard Piqué also stated in an interview with El Larguero on Cadena SER on Monday that there is no better coach than Xavi Hernández to lead FC Barcelona forward. He recalled that last season they won the Spanish Super Cup and La Liga, and that they should continue to support him.
“Xavi is the ideal coach for Barcelona and the players follow him,” Piqué said. He knows Xavi Hernandez perfectly well, as they were teammates from 2008 to 2015 and he has also experienced him as a coach until he decided to retire at the beginning of last season.
Piqué added, “Among all the young players in Barcelona’s squad, I am particularly impressed with Gavi. What he has achieved at 19 is incredible.”
